Ben Keeton joins Growth Services LLC as Senior Vice President and as the Executive Director for the Kentucky BioAlliance. In his role, Ben will work with industry leaders to develop a statewide alliance for life science business that will enable Kentucky to compete in life science economic development, which includes fields such as advanced medical device manufacturing, nanotechnology and pharmaceutical & biotechnology drug development

Ben holds a B.S. in International Relations from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of International Business from the Patterson School at the University of Kentucky.

Prior to joining Growth Services LLC., Ben spent two years with Humana in the Atlanta Market Office. At Humana, Ben was responsible for developing relationships among insurance agents and promoting Humana within the Atlanta community. He dramatically increased the number of active agents selling Humana insurance and helped increase awareness of the company through the Atlanta Benefits program.

His work in Economic Development began with the Health Enterprises Network, where Ben served for two years as the Business Development Manager. Each year, Ben grew the number of Network member, increased annual revenue, and developed programs to diversify the income stream.

Outside of work, Ben is active in the community. While in Louisville, Ben served on the Board of Directors for the Governor’s School for the Arts and the Atherton High School Alumni Association. Ben is also the fundraising chairman for the Omega Trust Association.

Ben and his wife Burcum are excited about their move back to Louisville and the opportunity to contribute to their community. Ben and Burcum have a new daughter born in May.
